Cordoba Fair
Córdoba celebrates at the end of May the Fair of Our Lady of Health.
With a marked Andalusian style, the fairgrounds host the booths, which are usually open to the public. The walk and its nearby streets are filled with horse-drawn carriages, flamenco dresses, sevillanas music and wine. Its origin goes back to livestock transactions, a market that has now moved to the outskirts of the city. During the fair there are several bullfights that take place in the Plaza de Los Califas.
Night visits to the Mosque
The Mosque-Cathedral Monumental Complex of Córdoba proposes the beautiful complexity that the integration of the most diverse artistic styles and supports supposes. From Hellenism to the Baroque, passing through the Caliphate splendor, this building offers us a complete and unrepeatable vision of the History of Art, a rich dialogue between cultures.
His career, as a primitive Visigothic basilica, Aljama and later Cathedral, gives a good idea that we are facing a living building, a building that has perpetuated itself over the centuries. We stand before an exceptional and prodigious architecture that continues to provoke the emotion and perplexity of everyone who contemplates it.
Permanent equestrian show passion and elf of the Andalusian horse
The Royal Stables of the city of Córdoba host a wonderful exhibition in which the purebred Spanish horse is the protagonist.
In the year 1570, Philip II ordered the creation of the monumental Royal Stables due to his great fondness for horses and to give rise to one of the best races in history: the Andalusian Horse – Purebred Spanish. This show is a unique opportunity to be impressed by the beauty and magic of these animals that exhibit different disciplines and by the mastery of the riders and amazons. In addition, all this is accompanied by music prepared for the occasion and dance numbers that fuse the dance with the exercises of the horses.
